4 out of 5 Magical Coffee Cups

Have you ever read a book where you feel like everything is wrapping up, but there are too many pages left? This was one of those books. Things started happening, and I said, “Oh, okay, this is what is going on.” But there were over 100 pages left. Then, something else is thrown into the mix. And then it gets to that point where I would again think things were coming to a close, but there were still so many pages left! Again, some other crazy storyline would be thrown into the mix. This happened so often in this book, and I loved every crazy moment.
As many other readers have pointed out, the dog lives. I appreciated this little fact as I started the book. Rest assured, the dog’s fate is a positive one, and this knowledge allowed me to fully enjoy the story without any worries. Okay, on to the book!
Our main character is house-sitting in a remote beachfront cabin. She is spending her days reading, relaxing, and living the dream! Yeah, she has some personal issues, but we are focusing on the reading part right now. She reads a book that she finds so awful that she can’t help but leave a review. Soon after, she starts to argue with the author himself online about this review. That is pretty crazy on its own, but then things begin to happen around the cabin that she can’t explain. There’s no way the author has tracked her down and is now messing with her over an online book review, right? Right?
This book was crazy, but similar stories are on the news. You hear about people getting into online fights all the time, and that virtual argument somehow spills into the real world. It’s scary!
I am glad I liked this book. The thought that an author might hunt down the person who gave them a bad review made me feel that I wasn’t about to take any chances. But luckily for me, I liked the book! I may keep the bad reviews to myself for a bit, though, just to be safe.
