The Girl in White by Lindsay Currie
Four out of Five Magical Coffee Cups:

Mallory lives in Eastport, Massachusetts, also known as “the most cursed city in the USA.” This city takes spookiness very seriously, and October is the height of its tourist season.
*Incoming Random tangent*
This made me think of all the cities around the United States like this. I know there are Christmas cities (Santa Claus, Indiana) that also have that holiday spirit all year round. It would be cool to stay in a town like that for a little while. I can see it getting old, no matter how cool it sounds. I know they would be super packed during their “season,” whether Christmas or Halloween. I often hear people avoid Salem around Halloween because it is so crowded. I would visit during the “off-season” for places like that. Go to a Halloween town in April or a Christmas city in June.
Back to the review. Mallory helps out at her parent’s restaurant, which also has a spooky story about a casket busting through the wall into a restaurant filled with diners. Ew. Mallory is not really into all of this spooky stuff. She loves photography. She attends the local art school, and she carries her camera with her often. She is also plagued with dreams about an old woman, and suddenly, she starts to sleepwalk. Mallory and her friends must figure out who this old woman is and what she wants. The lives of everyone in this town may depend on these kids!
I really enjoyed the book’s mix of spookiness and history. I now need to go on a road trip to see some of these old towns and research their fun history! Do you have any suggestions?
