Four out of Five Magical Coffee Cups

Action from the start! Milan is getting kicked out of her third boarding school. She is waiting to be picked up by her mother in their private plane. Milan’s mother is a senator. She became a senator after her husband, Milan’s father, was killed in a car accident. Milan was in the car at the time. While flying over some mountains, there is an explosion. The plane goes down. Milan’s final words with her mother are about a secret she and Milan’s father have been holding. There is a flash drive that Milan has to keep safe. And to trust NO ONE! This really does start off running!
So, both of Milan’s parents have died because of this secret information, and now it is up to Milan to keep it safe and deliver it to the right person. She has to trek through the wilderness and make her way back home without anyone finding her to protect this information and get it into the right hands. When her mom said, ‘trust no one,’ she wasn’t lying. She really couldn’t trust anyone! I was shocked by a few of them. She is also really adept at surviving. There were a lot of situations where she came up with some fantastic ideas that I never would have thought of. She did say that her dad used to take her on long hikes, so that is where she learned a lot of her skills. I was still impressed by what she accomplished throughout this book.
There were a few parts that I guessed, and I was pretty proud of myself for that, but there was a lot I didn’t see coming or just got wrong.
Lots of action! Wrapped up nicely.
