When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Wow. There was so much going on with this book. Unreliable narrators, twist after twist, lie upon lie…
I would hate a character and then I would feel bad for them. I would understand their actions, then I would think they were insane. And around and around we went. Page after page of this. I actually had in my notes “I’m so confused! Who am I supposed to hate!” I found myself being a little disappointed when one character became one to pity instead of hate because I really enjoyed hating them and then they would do something else and I could hate them again! It was quite the emotional rollercoaster.
The ending was interesting but still felt messy. Even with that ending, I highly recommend this book. I was so focused on this book I finished it in less than 24 hours!
